The PS Audio P 300

  Description:

AC synthesizer. Input: 120V/60Hz. Output: 115V/50-120Hz. Distortion: <0.1% (0.05% typical).

It takes 120v wall current down to 12v and re-amplifies it back to 120v. In this way removing any ac noise that had been on the circuit. It only provides 300 watts of power and is only recommended for low powered tube equipment. It does get hot like an amplifier.

This unit works very well controlling the speed of a Belt Drive Turntable in 1Hz increments.
