The PS Audio P 300 with Multi Wave II Description:

AC synthesizer. Input: 120V/60Hz. Output: 115V/50-120Hz. Distortion: <0.1% (0.05% typical).

This is a great way to control your turnable speed and isolate front end equipment. It takes 120v wall current down to 12v and re-amplifies it back to 120v. In this way removing any ac noise that had been on the circuit. It only provides 300 watts of power and is not recommended for tube equipment. It does get hot like an amplifier.
